Thy hybrid battery needs to have a good charge to be able to start the motor. A bad cell in the 12v can cause lots of wierd issues but not be apparent as it doesn't have to kick out a huge amount of amps.That all said, it's best to verify failures of parts and systems. With crank sensors, there are usually 3 wires. Ground, supply positive and signal. If you have an analog meter, you can check for ground and supply positive at the connector, then while cranking you should see a signal changing from positive to ground.2013 - No crank no start. Start with the ignition key at the off position. Rotate it from off to run (not start) 3 time within 5 seconds. you'll end up leaving it in run. A month went be and she didn't start again "narrowed" it down to the starter fuse also ended up replacing the battery was measuring 11.6 volts.You may need to wait 20 mins first so the Alarm resets to off. If it is Push to start do not use the brake pedal and go from off to run and back. wait a few minutes then try and start it. All of this after turning off Keyless Enter-N-Go on the EVIC.
